qWhat is the “Easy Pay Program”? How does it work?

The Easy Pay Program is a guarantee of payment for East Valley Endoscopy and provides you, as the patient, an estimate of your financial responsibility. You may be contacted by an employee and given an estimate of your financial responsibility for the Easy Pay Program. Upon check-in, you will be required to provide a credit card (MasterCard or Visa only) for the Easy Pay Program. Your credit card will not be charged until we have obtained patient liability information from your insurance company. If you are unable to supply a credit card for the Easy Pay Program, you will be required to pre-pay one-half of the estimated financial responsibility the day of your procedure. We accept cash (exact change only) or check. At the time your statement is received, payment in full is expected for services rendered.

qI don’t have insurance. How much will the procedure cost?

For patients without insurance we offer a 30% discount. Fees are based on the procedures performed and the findings during the procedure. For this reason, we are unable to give you an exact dollar amount. We will however, give you a price range of the cost of your procedure. Please contact our office for an estimate at 480-830-2005.

qWho should I contact if I have questions about my prescription or preparation instructions?

If you have any questions regarding your prescription or preparation instructions, please contact the physician’s office at 480-985-1700.

qWhy is it important that I arrive one hour before my procedure?

Arriving at the facility one hour prior to your procedure allows us time to get you checked-in and processed through pre-op. This also insures you will be prepared when your physician is ready to start your procedure.

qDoes my ride need to wait while I am in procedure?

No, but we do offer a waiting room where we play movies continuously throughout the day. If your ride decides to leave, we do require a phone number to contact them and they must remain within 30 minutes of the Facility.

qI filled out paperwork at the physician’s office; do I need to do this again?

Yes, we require our paperwork to be filled out completely. We are an entirely separate entity from the physician’s office, and we must have separate medical records.

qWhat do I need to bring with me for my procedure?

Please bring with you your paperwork packet, insurance cards, and picture identification. If applicable, co-pays and/or easy pays are due at the time of service. If you require glasses, please bring them. If your feet get cold easily, please wear socks.

qWhy might my doctor be running behind schedule?

We understand that your time is important and we make every effort to stay on schedule, but occasionally a physician may fall behind. East Valley Endoscopy treats each patient with the attention and dignity that they deserve. Due to unforeseeable circumstances, some procedures may require more time.

qWhat should I expect after my procedure? What can I eat?

Depending on the type of procedure you are having, you may or may not experience these common symptoms. Some of them are bloating, gas, mild cramping, and sore throat. Patients generally do not remember having had the procedure or the physician speaking with them. Patients are also groggy and should go home to sleep for at least 4 to 6 hours. You will not be able to drive for 24 hours after you procedure. After your procedure you will be able to eat a small meal on the lighter side, nothing greasy or spicy.

qWhat are your hours of operation?

The facility is open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; feel free to call us any time during these hours.
